This report is the result of a research project on the topic of 'flight shame', which was carried out from April 2019 to December 2019 at ISOE - Institute for Social-Ecological Research. Two central questions were of interest for the project team: How is the public discourse on flight shame received or reflected in Germany, and to what extent does it have the potential to bring about individual changes in travel behaviour? In addition to current statistics on air traffic, the project team analysed online media articles and Twitter postings as well as short interviews with citizens in Frankfurt am Main. This report presents the results and shows how they were obtained methodically. The conclusions and hypotheses derived from those results are intended to contribute to broadening the discourse on flight shame and the climate impacts of flying.

Abstract
Die daraus abgeleiteten Schlussfolgerungen und Hypothesen sollen dazu beitragen, den Diskurs zu Flugscham und die Klimawirkungen des Fliegens zu erweiternThis report is the result of a research project on the topic of 'flight shame', which was carried out from April 2019 to December 2019 at ISOE - Institute for Social-Ecological Research.
